Rebecca L. Stein is the associate attorney at Saundra M. Gumerove & Associates. She primarily focuses on estate planning, aiding clients with special needs in preparing for the future.
Rebecca has a passion for helping individuals with special needs in part because of the fact that her brother has autism. Growing up, she understood the trials her brother would go through, and this pushed her to learn more about other individuals with special needs so that she could better provide assistance. During her high school career, she took classes on developmental disabilities at C.W. Post, as well as volunteering at a variety of different special needs programs. She continued her volunteer work throughout college and ended up working at a special needs camp for six years.
Rebecca graduated from Hofstra University with a bachelor’s in Psychology. Later, she went on to attend Hofstra Law. While she was there, she acted as the notes editor on the Hofstra Law Review, as well as becoming a teaching assistant for Legal Research and Writing. Rebecca also interned at several different places during her time at school, including the United States Attorney’s Office, a commercial litigation law firm, and various different elder law firms. She graduated cum laude and received a prestigious award for Litigation and Trial Advocacy from the school.
Rebecca currently lives in Long Beach, NY, and is admitted to practice in the state of New York. Outside of her work, she enjoys playing the cello and has performed at Carnegie Hall. She is also an avid reader, and she can often be found perusing a new book during her free time.
